What We Do

OUR MISSION & VISION

Our brand new non-profit organization will offer a unique summer camp program that focuses on holistic healing practices for children in foster care, utilizing a trauma informed approach. Our goal is to facilitate long term healing for high risk youth while gathering data through a longitudinal study to support our hypothesis. We aim present it to the United States Congress for foster care reform.

We also provide year-round holistic health retreats for people of all ages, as well as educational resources for holistic cancer treatment. Our mission is to promote holistic healing and wellness practices to improve the lives of individuals in our community.

We are currently in the fundraising phase of our project! As we scout the perfect location to build, our hope is to launch our summer camps at an already-established venue this year. We are so excited to be bringing in qualified staff and volunteers to bring this essential program to our community. Until we find our permanent home, we are fundraising and inviting others to join us in our mission to serve some of the most vulnerable populations. We hope you’ll be a part of it!

For over 25 years, we have been intimately involved with understanding the factors that influence outcomes for children into adulthood. Backed by research, our mission continues to be one that assists kids and adults in their journey toward health and wellbeing.

A study published in the Journal of Youth and Adolescence in 2020 found that a trauma-informed care programs for youth who had experienced abuse and neglect was associated with improvements in social support and reductions in depressive symptoms.
